What make Mike different as a motivational speaker?
Audiences, young and old, love Mike! It comes from the genuineness of his stories and talks. Mike is the son of blue collar workers who has done well by earning it. And, he believes that ALL can do well and earn it. Sure, some have more obstacles than others. Some have more gifts that others. But ALL can be successful. Mike relates to everyone because he believes that everyone does, and should, have a different definition of success. So, Mike gets you to start there by defining your success. Most will try to define it for you. Big mistake, in Mike's opinion.

How has Mike been successful?
Mike, and his wife, Dana, determined early on that success was defined by 1) providing for the family, 2) providing for themselves, and 3) providing for others. Then, they defined those terms.
1) Providing for the family - by their definition, it meant their kids never having to worry about food, shelter, and education. It meant the kids having a great support foundation at home, regardless of their chosen activities. Mike & Dana have always supported kids in coaching, in their sports, in their careers, and provided them with a debt free college education.
2) Providing for themselves - this was defined as creating their own retirement plan, with a goal of $1 million. This was achieved in 2004. Multi-million dollar status was achieve in 2007, and was re-achieved in 2018 (thank you recession of 2008!)
3) Providing for others - this includes family members, extended family, and community projects. Activities in these have been ongoing all their lives

But how is Mike as a Speaker?
You may laugh, you may cry, but you WILL be entertained. Mike is a funny guy, with lots of wisdom, lots of stories, lots of experiences, and a gift for relating that information to others. He is AWESOME!

Here I am speaking at "Client Attraction Secrets" in Denver, an event put on for Solo-Entrepreneurs by Tommi Wolfe (www.thestartupexpert.com), a good friend, and a wonderful business coach who also specializes in helping solo-preneurs.
You don't just coach entrepreneurs, but you also work with individuals with their personal finances. Let's touch on that.
Why should I talk to you about my finances? There are "financial planners" all over this city.
Rule number 1 is to never take advice from broke people. I'm not broke, and I built my 7 figure retirement fund by working at a job, investing, and tracking my finances. I developed this system over the past 20 years by being an employee just like most of you, and it will work for you just like it did for me. If your "financial planner" has a 7 figure retirement fund, then maybe you should listen to him. If not, maybe you should call me.
What credentials do you have that make you a personal, or life, coach?
If you need a football coach, you get someone who knows the game. If you need a pitching coach in baseball, you typically need someone who has pitched at the higher levels of baseball. I'm not sure I know what a "Life Coach" is. I think of myself as a "Money Coach" and a "Business Coach". For a money coach, I think you need someone who has been, and is currently, financially successful through their own efforts, and can teach that system to others. I have been very successful in my personal life, I have been very successful financially, and have been very successful from a business perspective. Wouldn't you want to work with someone who has been successful in those areas?
How are you different than those other personal coaches?
I like to think that I have “walked the walk” very well, as I am successful in my personal finances. I also believe that the single biggest ingredient lacking in most people’s recipe for financial success is they don’t have a recipe at all. They don’t have a plan to follow, to work, so they know if and how well they are progressing. I am a Project Management Professional (PMP) which is a professional designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI). This means that not only do I have years of successful project management experience, I also have a tremendous amount of project management training. Personal financial success is a project, a lifelong project with very high stakes. Wouldn’t you like a professional guiding your most important project in your life?
Can’t I just do this and figure this out on my own?
Maybe. However, consider this. ALL great athletes have coaches to help them. If you want to become more than just average, you MUST get a coach. There is nothing magic about my formula. It is a system that pushes you to behaviors to create personal financial success. Like many coaches, I help you find within yourself what is best for you. What I have found is that most people are very tied up in family, their job, and their kids and they just don’t have time to think about planning for the future. This is the single biggest reason they are not currently financially successful – they just don’t have the time or take the time to create a plan for success. Otherwise, there would be many, many more millionaires in the U.S. than there are today. A question you might ask yourself is this, "How is currently doing this on your own working out for you?"
Will I get a good return on my investment working with you?
Most people I have worked with have told me this is the best investment they have ever made. Obviously, your mileage may vary. But, my coaching rates are modest to get started, and may change your life. What’s not to like?
How do I work with you?

Mike O’Neal and his programs are not intended to offer tax or investment advice. He does recommend that all clients seek a qualified professional licensed in such practices. Mike O’Neal does not recommend any specific financial products, no mutual funds, no stocks, and no annuities, nor does he sell any financial products. He does not propose to represent himself as a professional financial adviser. His programs and advice are to train the client to make and track financial decisions for himself with the aid of a professional licensed provider.
